Overall considerations:
• commercial, part of Microsoft Office package
• very slow when sending and retrieving messages
• control over messages database is very poor
• very similar to its Windows counter-part, Outlook Express
Some people like Enturage for emails, by the way almost everyone who knows it (and knows also some other alternative) prefear to avoid Entrourage for usenet access. Type and license GUI application for both Mac OS and Mac OS X.
Commercial, part of Microsoft Office package. Languages Just like the rest of Microsoft Office, it is monolingal (one version per language, only a few languages are available and must be choosen at buy time). Platforms Mac only – both Mac OS and Mac OS X.
Messagebase format is not compatible with the one used by its Windows counter-part, Outlook Express, but a migration (import) tool is provided. Server access Both anonymous and authenticaded server access are available.
Multiple news servers are supported. Binary support Binary messages are supported. Filters to be determined Charset/Unicode Charset and Unicode are correctly handled. Thread/Answers Thread support is very poor: nor a graphical map neither an indest schema are provided, messages grouping only works when sorting per subject.
Answers auto-highlight: ? X-Face X-Faces are not supported.
